Slowfall
Effective 21 August 2026 Version 1.0 End User Licence Agreement for the Slowfall app
This is the agreement between you and the person who makes Slowfall. It covers what you are allowed to do with the app, what the subscription costs and how to stop it, and — most importantly — what Slowfall is not. Please read section 2 even if you read nothing else.
This summary is not the agreement. The numbered sections below are.
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and the holder of the Slowfall developer account on the Apple App Store, an individual developer (“we”, “us”, the “Developer”), covering the Slowfall application for iPhone and iPad and everything in it (the “App”). The Developer’s name and country as seller of record are shown on the app’s App Store listing.
By downloading, opening or continuing to use the App, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the App; delete it and, if you have just subscribed, ask Apple for a refund.
This agreement is with us and not with Apple. Apple is not a party to it. We alone — not Apple — are responsible for the App, its content, and any support or claims relating to it.
Please read this
Slowfall is a general wellbeing and relaxation app. It is not a medical device, it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for professional healthcare. Nothing in the app — including the Cognitive Shuffle wind-down, the sound library, the night pages, or the figures on the Progress screen — should be relied on as a clinical assessment of how you are sleeping.
Insomnia and daytime tiredness can be symptoms of treatable conditions, including sleep apnoea, thyroid disorders, depression and anxiety. If your sleep is persistently poor, if it is affecting your health, work or safety, or if you are worried about it, speak to a doctor or a qualified sleep specialist. Do not delay getting help because an app is showing you an improving line.
If you are in crisis or having thoughts of harming yourself, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line immediately. Slowfall cannot help with that and is not monitored by anyone.
You should also use common sense about when to use the App. Do not use it while driving or operating machinery. The wind-down is designed to make you drowsy, and that is the point.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the App, and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live. You need a compatible Apple device and an Apple Account. If you are subscribing, you must be authorised to use the payment method attached to that account.
You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo or designated by the United States Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple requires us to include this, and it is a condition of the licence in section 4.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App for your own personal, non-commercial purposes on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service. The App may also be accessed by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing, where Apple makes that available.
The App is licensed to you, not sold. We keep all rights not expressly granted here, including all intellectual property in the App, its name, its design, its written content and its sounds.
You agree not to: copy, sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the App; reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits this despite the restriction; remove or alter any proprietary notices; use the App to build a competing product; or attempt to bypass the subscription and access paid features without paying for them.
Slowfall offers an auto-renewing subscription, Slowfall Pro, in weekly, monthly and yearly terms. The current price and billing period are shown in the app on the purchase screen before you buy, in your local currency, and are the prices that apply.
Open the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Slowfall, then Cancel Subscription. You can also reach the same place from inside Slowfall: Settings → Manage subscription. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep Slowfall Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for.
We may change subscription prices. Any change applies only to renewals after we have notified you, and Apple will ask you to confirm before charging a higher price — an existing subscription is never silently repriced.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. We cannot issue, process or override a refund on an App Store purchase. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. You may also be able to request a refund from inside Slowfall under Settings → Manage subscription, which simply forwards the request to Apple. Where consumer law in your country gives you a statutory right to cancel or be refunded, that right applies and nothing here limits it.
Slowfall does not offer a free trial or an introductory offer on any plan. If you were offered one, it did not come from us.
Slowfall can be used without paying. The free version currently includes one sound from the library for sessions of up to fifteen minutes, the morning check-in, and the Progress screen. Locked features are shown with a padlock rather than hidden, so you can always see what a subscription would add.
We may change what the free version includes. We will not remove access to something you have already paid for during a period you have paid for.
Night pages, check-ins and everything else you enter belong to you. We claim no ownership or licence over them. As explained in the Privacy Policy, they are stored only on your device and are never transmitted to us — we could not read them if we wanted to.
The consequence of that is worth stating plainly: there is no cloud backup and no way for us to recover your content. If you delete the App, reset the device, or lose it, your pages are gone. If something you have written matters to you, keep a copy somewhere else.
You are responsible for what you write, and for not putting anything into the App that you are not permitted to hold.
Use the App lawfully and normally. Do not interfere with its operation or the servers that deliver its sounds, do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service, do not use automated means to access it at scale, and do not use it in any way that infringes someone else’s rights or breaks the law where you are.
If you breach these Terms, the licence in section 4 ends automatically and you must stop using and delete the App. Ending the licence does not by itself entitle you to a refund, and does not affect Apple’s own billing.
Slowfall’s sound library is delivered over the internet and its contents may change: sounds can be added, replaced or withdrawn. We may also change, add, or remove features, and we may suspend or discontinue the App altogether. If we discontinue it while you hold an active paid subscription, we will not renew your subscription further, and any refund of an unused period is handled by Apple in the usual way.
We may update these Terms. When we do, we will change the version and effective date at the top and make the new version available in the App and at the same address as this one. Continuing to use Slowfall after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, cancel your subscription and delete the App.
We are solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the App, to the extent we offer it at all. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services for the App. For help, write to us at mohammedezrouil@gmail.com.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that it will improve your sleep.
We are solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent they are not effectively disclaimed. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the App to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty are our sole responsibility.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits any statutory consumer rights you have that cannot be limited by agreement.
We, and not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim by you or any third party relating to the App or your possession and use of it, including but not limited to (i) product liability claims, (ii) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
In the event of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of it infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, we — and not Apple — are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
You must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the App — in particular the App Store Terms of Service, and your wireless carrier’s terms, which may apply if you use the App over a mobile data connection. Data charges for downloading sounds are between you and your carrier.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, loss of sleep, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims relating to the App is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you actually paid for the App and its subscriptions in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ten United States dollars.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. If you are a consumer, you have statutory rights that these Terms do not affect.
Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple has the right — and is deemed to have accepted the right — to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary of them.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and the courts of Morocco have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction whose law gives you the protection of your local mandatory consumer rules and local courts, that protection is not taken away by this section, and you may bring proceedings where you live.
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues in force and the unenforceable part is applied to the greatest extent permitted. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us about the App and replace any earlier understanding. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours if the App changes hands, and we will say so in the App if that happens.
Questions, complaints and claims about the App, including anything in these Terms, go to the Developer:
